A Blog about Bali

This is dedicated to anyone who dreams of life in Bali. Whether you’re coming for a holiday, or wondering if the expat life is in your near future. Perhaps, like me you’d like to share your time between Canggu and your home country.

Why Canggu is still the perfect Bali destination

The original charm of Canggu village, when it was rice farmers, surf shacks & quaint cafe’s still exists. You just need to know where to go.

Enjoy luxury at low prices, a delightful & friendly culture, and of course, lots of sunshine.

Batu Bolong Beach

A Bali traveller searching for peace

In 2012 I visited a small rice farming village on the outskirts of Seminyak Bali. I had taken a quick visit to see friends, but mainly I needed a break from stresses back home in New Zealand. I didn’t have a guide to Canggu back then, so I simply followed my nose.

Each morning I would walk down the isolated country road to Echo Beach. I’d grab a coffee & watch the surfers catch their first wave of the day. I will never forget the feeling of peace that I felt there. And so my love affair with Canggu began.
