A Bali traveller searching for peace

In 2012 I visited a small rice farming village on the outskirts of Seminyak Bali. I had taken a quick visit to see friends, but mainly I needed a break from stresses back home in New Zealand. I didn’t have a guide to Canggu back then, so I simply followed my nose.

Each morning I would walk down the isolated country road to Echo Beach. I’d grab a coffee & watch the surfers catch their first wave of the day. I will never forget the feeling of peace that I felt there. And so my love affair with Canggu began.
